Council supports local business through sponsorship of awards

Organised by Commerce Roma, the awards are set to showcase the talents and achievements of our regional businesses as well as highlighting the importance of shopping local.

Councillor Cameron O’Neil, Portfolio Chair for Economic Development and Advocacy said Council is excited to once again be core sponsors of the awards.

“We are very pleased to be able to provide an additional $2,000 onto the original sponsorship proposal of $10,000 for this year,” Cr O’Neil said.

“This event has grown each and every year, and it is fantastic to see it continue in support of our outstanding local businesses.”

“Council is committed to the business community across the Maranoa and this is just a small way to show our appreciation and support to all the hard working businesses.”

The 2016 Maranoa Business Awards are being held on 15 October at the Explorer’s Inn Conference Centre in Roma.
