Roma Saleyards' first ever Texas Longhorn sale

The sale, brought to Roma by the Australian Texas Longhorn Alliance, will feature a large number of registered fullblood Texas Longhorns, and is expected to bring interested buyers and onlookers from all over Australia.

Due to the popularity of this event, the Roma Saleyards will be conducting a special tour on the day, taken by the renowned volunteer tour leaders.

Councillor Peter Flynn, Portfolio Chair for Roma Saleyards, said the special tour will be a great opportunity for anyone, local or visiting, to share in the excitement of this Queensland first.

“The Roma Saleyards’ volunteer tour leaders will be on hand come Saturday, ready to show people around our impressive facility made even more interesting by the iconic breed of cattle being displayed - the Texas Longhorn,” Cr Flynn said.

“The Roma Saleyards is excited to have been chosen as the cattle selling facility to host this sale, and Council hopes to see many events similar to this take place well into the future.”

Those wishing to attend the special tour are encouraged to meet at the Roma Saleyards Bull Ring at 8.15am for an 8.30am start. Selling of the Texas Longhorns will commence at 10am.
