The Maranoa region is located approximately 500km west of Brisbane. Roma is the main business hub in the region, servicing a population of approximately 14,000 residents. Other centres of the Maranoa include the towns of Injune, Mitchell, Surat, Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Mungallala, Jackson, Amby and Muckadilla.
Following a period of strong population growth and visitation, the regional economy has spiked over the past 10 years. Along with the resource sector, the region was founded on the back of a strong agricultural industry, which is anticipated to continue to prosper over the next 50-100 years.
