A dedicated building in which to showcase the heritage of lnjune and district has been discussed by the community for several years. As part of the community consultation for the lnjune Creek Gallery project, it was suggested that when completed, the concept of a heritage building in lnjune should be considered by Council and the community.
Initial discussions with community groups have identified a proposed site for a building to be installed at the corner of Second Ave and Ronald St. Concept designs have been prepared, incorporating previous feedback from the community. These designs include raised floors, verandahs, and areas for display and research.
This information will be considered for inclusion in future funding rounds and budget allocations, and will assist Council in planning the best outcome for the lnjune community and the town's visitors.
