Maranoa Regional Council is committed to reducing above-floor flood risk in Roma. A long-term, multi-staged approach to building a flood resilient community, the Roma Flood Mitigation Project has progressed since construction of the Stage 1 Levee.
With funding now obtained, the project is able to progress into the next stage (Stage 2A Western Levee & Eastern Diversion Drain & 2B concept design).
To learn more about the project's next phase of works, residents are invited to come along to an Information Session to hear from Councillors and flood mitigation engineers GHD.
Date: Tuesday, 12 July and Wednesday, 13 July 2016.
Times: 11.30am and 6pm (both days).
Location: Ernest Brock Room, Roma Cultural Centre (Corner Bungil & Quintin Streets).
