Thank you to our region's volunteers

Maranoa Regional Council Mayor Tyson Golder said volunteers are like gold and are the region's biggest asset, and expressed appreciation on behalf of Council.

Usually we bring them together in each of our communities for a morning tea or other gathering, however COVID-19 precautions have prohibited our traditional celebrations. Therefore, this year, volunteers will be awarded vouchers to be redeemed at local cafes as a token of appreciation from Maranoa Regional Council.

If you are a volunteer within our community, to show our gratitude, we invite you to collect a voucher from your local library between Monday, 8 June and Friday 19 June. Your contact details and volunteer work will be noted upon collection.

Alternatively, if you are a volunteer and wish to remain at home, please contact Maranoa Regional Council's Tourism Information Officer Leanne Crawford on 1300 007 662 and request postage for the voucher.

Maranoa Regional Council appreciates the tireless involvement contributed by our region's volunteers and hope the vouchers offer enjoyment.
