Council is seeking donations from people who are able to help by providing:
- Monetary donations
- Non-perishable food items such as:
- Christmas lollies
- Christmas cake/pudding
- Savoury crackers
- Long-life custard
- Tinned fruit (pineapple, peaches, pears)
- Tinned vegetables (peas, corn, carrot, beetroot)
- Long-life milk (UHT)
- Large packets of chips.
Councillor Janelle Stanford, Portfolio Chair for Community and Social Services said this is a fantastic opportunity to spread Christmas cheer throughout the region and help those struggling at Christmas time.
"Any donation would be greatly appreciated, donate today!" Cr Stanford said.
Donations can be dropped off at Council's Customer Service Centres until Tuesday, 21 November 2017.
