Council applies for regional water project through State Government funding

Councillor David Schefe, Portfolio Chair for Utilities said that Council submitted applications through the program to upgrade the region's water infrastructure, with the total cost of all three projects being over $2 million.

"Council has applied for funding to install a bore in Mitchell and upgrade the dosing equipment. Funding has also been sought for upgrade of the water supply and storage reservoir in Yuleba to improve pressure," Cr Schefe said.

"With infrastructure ageing in Roma, Council has applied for funding for a new bore to provide additional capacity to feed into Roma's main town reservoir.

"Council will be advised in the coming months whether the applications have been successful."
