The Maranoa Planning Scheme Property Report allows users to search any property within the region and instantly generate a report containing zoning information, land area, development approval records and applicable codes of the planning scheme, in addition to other key information. The report identifies local and state mapping overlays that apply to a specific property, including flood hazard areas, significant vegetation and infrastructure.
Councillor Wendy Newman, Portfolio Chair for Planning said this online tool is particularly useful for those wanting to know what they can do with a property, including land owners, prospective purchasers, real estate agents and investors.
"The tool can be used on desktop computers, as well as handheld devices, providing convenient access while on the move. It automatically collates information into a user-friendly PDF format, allowing users to save, share and print the report with ease," Cr Newman said.
"For those interested in learning more about this exciting tool, we encourage you to come along to the information sessions being held in December."
Council will be holding drop-in information sessions allowing people to try out the tool and take home a copy of the report. Dates and times for these sessions are listed below:
- Tuesday, 4 December 2018 – 9.30am – 1.30pm Roma Library
- Friday, 7 December 2018 – 10am – 4pm Roma Library.

The new online tool was developed with funding received under Round 1 of the Queensland Government's Innovation and Improvement Fund that was established to assist councils in transitioning to the State's new planning system.
