Part one will be displayed at Mitchell on Maranoa Gallery, from Saturday, 20 January until Saturday, 24 March and will feature the original works, based on the stories of the Kenniff Brothers. Part two, the new chapter, Reflections of Paddy and Jim, will be displayed at Injune Creek Gallery from Friday, 19 January until Saturday, 24 March.
Both part one and two, the original works and new chapter displays will then join together at Roma on Bungil Gallery from Friday, 30 March until Friday, 11 May.
This art exhibition has been a result of Karen Knight-Mudie's many field trips, stories and research that saw new direction for the images to move beyond the land, across creek beds and campsites to court records.
Councillor Puddy Chandler, Portfolio Chair for Arts said the core exhibition of Moonlighting in Moffatt consists of 11 large banners that depict the main characters and selected properties in the Maranoa now termed as 'Kenniff Country'.
"The art exhibition gives access to a high quality of art works that show local historical connections," Cr Chandler said.
"Be sure to come along and see some of Maranoa's history and paintings of our regions landscapes."
