As of tomorrow (1 June 2018), residents will begin to receive their annual dog registration renewals for the 2018/19 financial year. Registration renewals are due by 30 June 2018 with the registration period running from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.
Residents are required to register their dogs each year. If desexed and microchipped Council offers an annual registration discount.
Councillor Puddy Chandler, Portfolio Chair for Community Safety said dog registrations aim to reduce the amount of stray dogs in the Maranoa.
"By having your dogs registered it makes it easier for lost dogs to be identified and reunited with their owners," Cr Chandler said.
Payment for registrations can be made at any Council Customer Service Centre or by BPay, phone or mail.
New dog registrations can be completed in person or by contacting Council.
