Councillor Cameron O'Neil, Portfolio Chair for Economic Development said Council is very pleased to be able to fund these projects. It is really important that we receive projects from right across the region when we call for community grants.
"Council strongly encourages any community group that is looking to do something for their group and facility to have a look at the community grants that Council offers and for us to partner with you to achieve your vision for your particular group whether it is facilities, upgrades or an event," Cr O'Neil said.
"This is something we can do as a Council to support our community right across the Maranoa."
Roma Aero Club, Vice President, Barry McCabe said that the club was very pleased to receive the $3,000 grant from Maranoa Regional Council.
"The new furniture will enhance the club and will give visiting and local pilots a place to comfortably wait out of the rain or sunshine," Mr McCabe said.
"This addition will improve the amenity to the Aero Club, and be a great place to host social events and even interest new potential members to the Club."
